Paul Draper is one of the most knowledgeable–and entertaining–speakers available. His lecture/performance on assessing and re-building your organizational culture, all framed in the context of a mind-reading and magic show, is nothing short of sensational.

We’re delighted to announce that Paul has joined our team of speakers and workshop leaders at The Wizard Venture!

Only when we are able to think the unthinkable–question the unquestionable–are we able to do the impossible. So, are you ready to question all your assumptions?

I’ve been working with Jeff McBride since the late 1980′s–at which point he worked in masks and white-face, and almost never spoke on stage. I booked him for weekly lectures for magicians’ groups across the country during the 14 months or so that he toured with the Radio City Rockettes–and he became a wonderful speaker! McBride’s talks ALWAYS include performance magic, unusual and innovative ideas he has gleaned from performing and teaching around the world, and a lot of great humor.

Which is part of the reason we launched The Wizard Venture speakers here in Las Vegas. Jeff and our other speakers are not only inspiring and informative, but entertaining, as well. All of us have trained intensively in order to be able to deliver what your organization needs, in a way you can count on–not just to please your audiences, but also your staff and crew.

You’ve got to love The New Yorker…this from their cartoon issue a couple of weeks ago. Those of us who love optical illusions will recognize the woman on the right as a classic “old/young” image from a very long time ago. The cartoonist added the image on the left and the caption…with all the wit and aplomb one expects from The New Yorker.

Just had to share. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did!

I’ve known Jeff McBride for over 30 years. Back when we started working, he worked in masks and whiteface…and never spoke on stage! Since then he has become one of the most sought-after speakers and teachers in the world of magic. However…

In the larger world, Jeff is known more for his dynamic and innovative performances on stages in Las Vegas and all over the world. He is the founder  and leader of McBride’s Magic & Mystery School in Las Vegas, widely acclaimed as “the most prestigious school for magicians in the world,” (BBC).

What most don’t know about Jeff is that he is also a dynamic and inspiring speaker for organizations and corporations. Magicians, like real wizards, possess knowledge that allows them to do the seemingly impossible. These secrets can also apply to business, marketing, and any enterprise or organization where innovation and leadership are important.

Perhaps even more important for those of you who must provide speakers for their events, McBride’s talks are also amongst the most entertaining available!

Spencer is a young Canadian making a big name for himself as a magical performer. He’s a deep thinker…and his compliment above means a lot to me. If you’re in Ontario, you owe it to yourself to see his work. Learn more here: http://www.spencerscurr.com/.

In the meantime, we’ll be starting up sessions of the workshop he describes, based on my book “Beyond Applause” again starting in early February. It’s 2020–time to take your career into your own hands and move it forward! Learn more here: http://www.yourmagic.com/online-seminar.html,

So many of my generation knew within the first few pages of our...

So many of my generation knew within the first few pages of our first Tom Robbins novel that this was going to be a favorite. Why? Because he really did “think different.” Robbins loved turning the status quo on its head…or at least looking at it sideways, through a different kind of lens.

As it turns out, this kind of “different thinking” is one of the things that makes true progress–in today’s Silicon Valley speak, “disruption,” possible. Cultures teach us to limit our perceptions, our ways of thinking. That’s great for the status quo, but every society faces problems, troubles…that result from sticking to their conventions long after they’ve become detrimental.

Until we learn to think the unthinkable, to examine all of our underlying assumptions, we cannot hope to be effective agents of change.
