To build and sustain success for your business, you must improve it every day. Doing ANYTHING just because "that's how we've always done it," is a sure way to the ultimate failure of any kind of business. But little improvements over time will take you from mediocrity to excellence. #leadership #innovation

What sort of a dent do you want to make? What kind of change are you passionate about making during this life? It's easy to get so lost in the everyday minutia of life that we lose sight of the things that actually give our lives meaning. #leadership #keynotespeaker

Are you like most of us, often wondering “why am I here?” For msyelf, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s really up to each one of us. You decide for yourself, and if you really commit to it–if you really go all in, any of us can live a life like Jobs, like Elon Musk. Any of us can create and run a busines for ourselves, or write books, movies…whatever. But first you have to decide.
So…why are you here?

Einstein encountered great resistance from the established physicists of his time. Even to the extent he was not offered a position after finishing his degrees, and was relegated to a low-paying job at the patent office, even while writing the five great papers that created modern physics. So–he know what he spoke of about mediocre minds.
You can see this in the news almost every day. For every report of great achievements by great men and women, there is one from a detractor – some small minded person catering to our basest instincts, and trying to demean the achievements and those who have made them. They all have their motives – more clicks, the advancement of a crooked politician’s career, whatever.
If you take the time and make a real effort to evaluate everything you read, you can avoid being taken in by the detractors. But you must make the effort, or you, too, will be taken in by the propagandists.

A very wise friend once said to me, "you pretty much are what you are online." He meant that we're all defined by our public-facing statements and postings...like this one. So, decide who you are, what you believe, what is your story, and tell the world. If you've chosen well, it might make you rich or famous. #leaership #business #career #startups

This a big one. As Henry Ford and others have observed, “the one who says they can, and the one who says they can’t – will both be right.” Our beliefs about what is possible – for us, and in the world – have more control over our experience of reality than we imagine.
There’s a well-known story about Steve Jobs – I think it was during the development of the iPod. He was finishing up a meeting with designers and engineers in which they had all come to agreement on the techinical specifications for that first iPod. Jobs wanted to know, “How soon can you get me a prototype?” The group put they heads together and calculated carefully. So many days to complete the wireframes, design the circuit boards, print things out, test them, etc. “We think, if everything goes without a htich, that we can get you something in six weeks”
“Okay, said Jobs. I need it on my desk in 6 days. Now get out of here and get to work.”
Six days rolled around, and sure enough, the group delivered their prototype! Jobs had reset expectations, and suddenly “the impossible” had become possible!
The lesson here: Stop setting your own expectations for yourself so low!
