She’s not really there. However you might feel about peeking at a lovely young naked woman…there is no such thing in this picture. What other conclusions might you have jumped to in the course of your day today? Question everything!
When we fail to think for ourselves, we open ourselves to being manipulated by others, for their ends…and not our own. Like any other skill, we get better at thinking by practice. So…go question something you’re sure is true, and see if you convince yourself you’re wrong! That’s what Einstein did!

How powerfully do YOU present? Are you 10%, 50% or 99% persuasive? Do you use your time…and that of your audience…effectively? We can all improve!

A gift is a way of telling someone you are thinking of them, that they are important to you. They need not be costly, by any means. A clipping of an article you know they would enjoy will do. Demonstrating a bit of magic works well for those of us who perform is a “special” kind of gift. And gifts help build relationships…and a thriving business of any kind is made up of just such relationships.
This is one of the smaller messages conveyed in Beyond Applause, which is all about how we can build businesses around our talents as performers or speakers.

Even though one’s belief’s often don’t match reality–and we’re quite certain the beliefs of others are out of line–they are amongst the most powerful of human characteristics. We go to war based on beliefs. We dedicate our lives to causes, based on our beliefs. But we all hold many basic beliefs we are not even aware of…beliefs that define for us who we are, and which limit our abilities.
If you wish to help somone else overcome their limiting beliefs, you must first be willing to meet them in the world of their own beliefs. This is one of the key secrets of the master persuaders
