Perhaps the fact that knowledge does empower us is the reason...

Perhaps the fact that knowledge does empower us is the reason despots want to obfuscate it, one of the reasons they are so intent on denying it. Perhaps this is the real reason government in some countries give lip-service to education, but does what it can to undermine truly effective education.

Protect your knowledge, and seek out those instruction manuals! Engineering is knowledge applied for practical purpose. The Wizard’s Way is a set of instructions on how to use real knowledge to lead and create real change. We are not sheep to be lead by our governments for shearing.

I am asked often these days, “What can we do?” We can learn. We can teach our children outside and beyond the formal public education system. We can support that system when the government does not by volunteering our services. We can continue to rise up in public demonstrations, continue to express our dissatisfaction to our government representatives. We can “vote with our pocketbooks” and not give our money to businesses who cooperate with and support the despots.

Within our places of work we can instigate change ourselves, without waiting for the nominal leaders to do so. Many of the changes that big industry “can’t afford,” for example, really don’t need funding to be made–they require only the action of the workers.

Learn to learn from experience. Experiment. Be unafraid of failure. Learn to see every situation from many points of view. Learn to see things as your boss might. See them as the company CEO might. See them as a customer might. See them as your spouse might, or your children. Children are often baffled that adults take the stupid actions they do, and it’s often because they CAN see things from a different point of view. Learn to see your situation from the point of view of your children.

And take responsibility. When you see an injustice being done, take the responsibility to right it. When you see wasteful spending by the government, call attention to it–not just by writing or calling your congress critter, but by posting in the many venues available online, by sending a story suggestion to your media sources, by taking out your camera, filming, and posting. There is MUCH we can all do.

Real knowledge empowers us. Real WISDOM provides the instruction manual.
